External Speakers

#78565

Post by Mr13MWZ »

Hey guys! Im a new guy and have a few questions about external speakers. I just ordered a SWP GL from Radioactive and will need an external speaker due to it being buried in the dash. I was thinkin about external speakers and remembered that I may have an additional solution. In my 07 Silverado I added a neucleus device that allows the hard wiring of an Ipod and my Sirius satellite receiver through the stock head unit. The device also has the provisions for an additional AUX input via RCA jacks. I intended to use a RCI ranger speaker but this ability to use an additional AUX input made me think about being able to listen to the General Lee through the truck speakers. Is this advisable or even possible? I would like to be able to just listen to the RCI speaker (allows me to also listen to the Ipod) and switch to the RCA input if desired.

Thanks!

I did a few experiment with car speakers and nothing good came from it. As you found in that post. I say get a good ext speaker like the RCI box you will be happy for a long time with that setup.
