People with RCI 2950DX modified for 11m

I am looking to get one of Mr RadioActive SWP RCI 2950DX's but had a question for people with one of these radios. Does the channel scan still work the way it does before being modded to do 11m. The info from RCI states that it will scan a user set frequency range or 10 favorite programmed channels in stock form, I am hoping this is the same after its modded.

This is a fantastic site. I have been reading for days. I am new to all this but am trying to do it right the first time. :P

Thanks for any help.

Yes the scan function still works but you'll have to have your squelch turned up for it to work like you want.

Yeah it is pretty damn slow at scanning. I have a 2970 and after I saw how slowly it scanned, I have not used the scan since. Don't let the slow scan from stop you from getting the radio. I'm gonna call MR. RA and order up a third one so I don't have to keep moving the one from my truck to my car when I'm not on the road. Excellent EXCELLENT radios.

you ll love tht 2950, they are packed with features, I think they are the best ssb mobile rigs still in production today (not comparing it to ham gear).
